The Korea Animal Protection Society has file a lawsuit against the producer, screenwriter and director of ‘Iljimae‘ and also the owners of the dogs in the above picture.
During an interview yesterday, the producer of ‘Iljimae‘ Lee Yong Suk expressed to the media that they were sued because of a dog fighting scene shown in episode 4. The scene was deemed inhumane by the society. Producer Lee was supposed to give his statement at the police station today but it was later cancelled.
In the interview, he also denies the accusation by the Animal Protection Society because they had made the necessary precautions prior to filming and the dogs were also not hurt during the process.
Producer Lee will be going to the police station for his statement on the 24th.
Well is it that serious? Personally I do not feel the scene alone doesn’t warrant a lawsuit from the protection society. The important thing is that the dogs were not hurt. But I do not know much when it comes to such things so it might be a big issue to them.

let’s see if ur parents and friends complain or not. THE BOTTOM LINE is do not promote dog fighting. period. EVEN THOUGH the dogs weren’t hurt. HOW SURE ARE YOU? Plus, it’s teaching people the wrong things.. God, people who don’t understand animal welfare and how animals suffer are the ones that should learn empathy 101.
